Learning About Earthquakes!

Students in Mr. Ben Kinnison's 8th Grade Earth Science class had some fun today putting what they learned about earthquakes to the test. The 8th graders had to make a 60cm structure with spaghetti noodles, marshmallows, and some tape. Once they completed making their structures, they had to test the strength of their structures in an earthquake simulation. While the simulation was being done the students learned about P-waves, S-Waves, and L-Waves. The students were great sports and enjoyed seeing how well their structures did against their classmates!!!
