Looking for a way to give back this holiday season? Volunteers are needed to help pack the Community Christmas Baskets for families in need here in Tekonsha.
Volunteers will be packing the food baskets in the Tekonsha Elementary multipurpose room beginning at 3:30 pm on Friday, December 16. Anyone is welcome to just show up and help!
Final food items will be added to the baskets on Saturday morning, Dec. 17, beginning at 9 am, with pick up starting at 10. Families receiving a basket will need help transporting items from the school to their vehicles, so strong arms are greatly appreciated!
Families receiving a basket have already been selected and notified. If you are a family in need and did not receive a post-card, please be sure to check out the free food distribution that happens on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 2:30 pm at the Tekonsha Fire Station.
