Junior Achievement!

Junior Achievement!
Posted on 08/28/2023
Tekonsha Elementary 3rd graders kicked off the year by jumping right in to the Junior Achievement program! We were fortunate to get Mrs. Laura Lutterbeck, the District Director of JA of Southwest Michigan to come and help our students learn about earning, saving, spending, and donating their money! Junior Achievement (JA) is a nationally recognized program that trains local volunteers to come present age-appropriate lessons in financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship. Last year, we were able to run JA in three of our elementary classrooms. We would love to see this program expand into additional grades for the 2023-24 school year. If you have been a JA volunteer in the past, or would like to learn more about being a JA volunteer for our Tekonsha Students, please contact Laura Lutterbeck at [email protected].
