Welcome to Mrs. Shedd!!!
We are excited to announce that Mrs. Jordan Shedd will be joining the Tekonsha Community Schools staff as our new MS/HS Science and Spanish teacher! Mrs. Shedd is very familiar with our school and our students, as she has been working as the Varsity Volleyball coach this fall! Mrs. Shedd holds both a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University and a Master's Degree in Crop and Soil Science from Michigan State University. Mrs. Shedd also has extensive experience in Spanish. She is also currently pursuing her degree in education for both science and Spanish through Concordia University and has been certified by the Michigan Department of Education to serve as a long-term sub for the remainder of this school year. Mrs. Shedd is married to Tom Shedd, a 2004 graduate of Tekonsha Community Schools!
In order to provide in-person language learning to our students, we will be shifting to Spanish as the world language offered at Tekonsha. Students wishing to continue with German will be offered the opportunity to continue online.
Mrs. Shedd will officially begin on Monday, October 17. We are very grateful that we were able to find such a qualified candidate right here in our own community to fill this need for our students.
