A Truckload of Books for 2nd Grade!

What's better than a new book to a 2nd grade student? A truckload of books!!! Tekonsha Elementary teacher Mrs. Barb Calhoun was selected as a recipient of the Michigan Construction's Truckload of Books giveaway. On Friday, January 13, her second grade classroom was presented with a toy truck filled with a collection of books to help educate students and spark interest in construction careers! Representatives from Shafer Bros, Inc. in Albion came to deliver the books, talk to the students and answer questions about concrete and working in construction. They then stayed to read a book to the class!
