Tekonsha Elementary first graders learned to pin down their subtraction facts by playing subtraction bowling!! With no time to spare, students recorded the number of bowling pins knocked down from a set of ten. Then, they recorded a second subtraction sentence using the difference. With such an active and energetic group, these first graders love lessons that involve a kinesthetic approach to learning. Therefore, subtraction bowling was right up their alley!!
