A first year team, with first year coaches, and they made us all so proud!!! T-Town Tech represented Tekonsha Community Schools amazingly well at the Michigan State Championship meet this past weekend! The state meet was divided into 4 divisions, with each division made up of 40 teams that qualified from across the state. Throughout the tournament, judges walked around and spoke with students, asking them about their robot, their team, and their overall experiences. Some individual awards were given based on these interviews. Our own T-Town Tech was awarded the Rookie Inspiration Award!!! According to FIRST, “The Rookie Inspiration Award celebrates a rookie team’s outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering and engineers, both within their school as well as within their community. This small but mighty rookie team inspires those around them with their nerves of steel.” We absolutely agree and can't wait to see what this team does next year!
