Students at Tekonsha Schools celebrated World Down Syndrome Day on Friday, March 20th. Students in grades K-12 wore crazy socks, a common symbol of this special day. All students were encouraged to stand "Together Against Loneliness" and reminded that all individuals share the same hopes to have friends and be included. Our T-Town Tech robotics team also went into each of the elementary classrooms to read a special book about accepting each other and how we are more alike than different! World Down Syndrome Day is held each year on March 21.
