Ice Cream for Science!
Posted on 10/01/2025

Thursday. September 25th got chilly in Tekonsha Elementary 5th grade with Mrs. Sayles when students made home-made ice cream as a culmination to learning about states of matter and freezing/ melting points. Learning science never tasted so good!

Students at Tekonsha Elementary use the Cereal City Science kits for our elementary science curriculum. For the first trimester, students in kindergarten are learning about Motion: Pushes & Pulls. In first grade, they are studying Space Systems: Patterns & Cycles. In second grade, they are studying Plant & Animal Relationships. In third grade, their unit is covering Life Cycles & Survival in an Ecosystem. In fourth grade, they are studying Energy & Waves. In fifth grade, their first trimester unit is on Structures & Properties of Matter. Be sure to ask your student what they are learning in science!
