About Tekonsha Community Schools:
The first graduation in Tekonsha was in 1891 with four graduates. We are proud to continue to educate generations of families in the past century.

Academics:
The teaching staff at TCS strives each day to prepare our youth for the 21st Century. Teachers use multiple techniques in the classroom such as: technology, hands-on activities, meaningful lessons, etc., to engage students in learning. High school students can take college courses through dual enrollment.
Technology:
TCS has 1:1 Chromebooks for all students, K-12.. Teachers are also using Newline interactive whiteboards, digital projectors to integrate digital media within any lesson, and Google Classroom to make content available and accessible. Students and parents have the ability to monitor their child's grades through a 24/7 online grade-book system. In addition, high school students can enroll in specialty classes online.
Sports:
Eighty-six percent of our student body has participated in at least one sport activity throughout the school year. Tekonsha has a no-cut sports policy. Students learn skills in sportsmanship that enhance their well-being.
Faculty and Staff:
TCS has teaching staff that are devoted and passionate about teaching students throughout the school district, in addition to two great building secretaries that assist both the staff and students in being successful. Finally, a group of people in and out of the classroom such as paraprofessionals, cooks, bus drivers, and custodians, are among those that make this school a great place for staff and students. Everyone is friendly, builds great professional relationships, and wants every learner to succeed. Your child will not be a number at Tekonsha Community Schools, but a unique individual.
