All students learn in different ways. This is part of the beauty of individuality, but it can also be a special challenge when tackling difficult school subjects. At Tekonsha Community Schools, we’ve asked some of our highest achieving students for help making sense of these subjects. They’ve responded by volunteering their time and knowledge, in order to help their fellow students succeed, by becoming Peer Tutors. Peer to Peer Tutoring is a supervised program designed to provide a fun, safe, and academically healthy environment for Tekonsha students attending the middle and high school who need help improving their grades.
Peer Tutoring is officially back in session! Tutoring will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm to 4pm weekly. We have plenty of excellent tutors capable of helping with almost every subject—from Spanish I to Pre-Calculus. This is a fully supervised program, and I am happy to be working with our students and Peer Tutors again this year.
