Classrooms of the Future!

High School Virtual Learning

We may be a small school but we aren’t afraid of technology. What began as a Credit Recovery Program has evolved into an opportunity for students to use our E2020 program to engage in classes that might not otherwise be available. Through this program we are able to accommodate a wide variety of student interests. As part of our online program, we offer, but are not limited to:

  • Calculus
  • Trigonometry
  • Psychology
  • Spanish I, II, & III
  • World History
  • Health
  • Writing
  • Environmental Studies
  • World Literature

Technology Classes in the Elementary

In the elementary, students begin using the keyboard early to prepare them for a lifetime of computer use. Students also receive instruction in widely used programs such as:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Power Point
  • Microsoft  Excel

The drive behind this program is to ensure each student is able to open the appropriate program and maneuver through the necessary elements to complete assignments.

Rounding out our computer-based learning at the elementary level are several educational programs designed to keep learning fun. Some examples are:

  • Study Island, an educational game platform designed to use puzzles and games to reinforce basic knowledge. Teachers are able to set up tests in this program, too, so that student learning stays on track.
  • Education City, an interactive, award winning educational program designed for students Pre-K – 6th grade. Music, bright colors, and interesting characters help students through activities in language arts, math, and science.
  • Reading Eggs, an online reading program involving songs, games, and rewards to motivate students to be lifelong readers and learners.

This consistent, computer-based instruction, at every grade level, helps to prepare our students for success in a modern, tech-savvy world.
